Currently the Address of
Identifiers in the Set - Usage is Pointer command the identifier must occur in
the Linkage Section. In z/OS, the item can occur in either the Working Storage
Section or the Linkage Section. The lack of this ability creates a major hurdle
that must be overcome when using GETADDRINFO for IPv6 DNS lookup as GETADDRINFO
requires the use of pointers. This also makes the command consistent between
the two operating systems.
