Justification: (Why? Non-technical
business case description. Do not reword Detailed Problem
Description from above. What are the benefits to be gained by your
company, and the vendor and others?
Quantify: run time, dollars, manpower, etc. Why should the vendor do this for the customer?)
The ability to register a command or statement
will provide a simple and consistent interface for the introduction of new
commands and statements. In addition,
the supporting functionality will permit the implementor to detect and handle
cross-product interactions.
Solution: (Optional)(Desired/undesired elements Note: Making a suggestion may limit a
vendors ability to deliver a solution)
The implementation should include the ability
to register, deregister, enable, disable, and query command and statement registrations.
Impact: (Optional) (How
will your company’s business be affected if a solution is not delivered?)
We will implement commands and statements using
the existing interfaces. However, the
implementation will be more time-consuming, costly, and will lack the ability
to readily detect cross-product interactions.
