Title: (Paraphrase problem in a
single statement)Allow for longer object
names when supported by the server
Detailed
Problem Description: (Description of what you want changed - 400 character entry limit)
DB2 servers on other platforms
support longer object names than those on DB2/VSE. When connecting a DB2/VSE AR client application to a non-VSE
server we are still limited to the smaller names. Specifically, a stored procedure name is limited to 18
characters, including the schema. There
are probably others as well.

Allows VSE client applications to access
objects on remote servers that may have very long names.

vendors ability to deliver a solution)
Impact: (Optional) (How
will your company’s business be affected if a solution is not delivered?)
