Add support for IP V6 to VSE.

Interoperability

Business Justification: (Why? Non-technical business case description. Do not reword Detailed Problem Description from above. What are the benefits to be gained by your company, and the vendor and others?  Quantify: run time, dollars, manpower, etc.   Why should the vendor do this for the customer?)

By the end of 2008, the US federal government will require agencies doing business with them to support IPv6-based transmissions. Neither of the current VSE TCP stacks support IPv6. For VSE to remain viable, support for IPv6 must be added.

Solution: (Optional)(Desired/undesired elements Note: Making a suggestion may limit a vendors ability to deliver a solution)

Impact: (Optional) (How will your company’s business be affected if a solution is not delivered?)

VSE TCP based solutions will be excluded for federal contracts/sites as non-conformant. Also, as the State of Oklahoma requires that its computers meets federal guidelines Oklahoma state agencies will not be able to run VSE.
