Detailed
Problem Description: (Description of what you want changed - 400 character entry limit)
With the advent of LE even
code in languages like PLI or COBOL can be written and tested in VSE and then
be linked in MVS and executed. This is no longer the case with the restrictions
as mentioned in CICS migration/guide Paragraph 5.1.2 page 115/116

Justification: (Why? Non-technical
business case description. Do not reword Detailed Problem
Description from above. What are the benefits to be gained by your
company, and the vendor and others?
Quantify: run time, dollars, manpower, etc. Why should the vendor do this for the customer?)
There is no point in producing LE (to have
object code compatibility) and then torpedoing it with CICS.
Solution: (Optional)(Desired/undesired elements Note: Making a suggestion may limit a
vendors ability to deliver a solution)
Regain full compatibility for the common functions
(like ASSGN PROGRAM or NEXTTRANSID)
Impact: (Optional) (How
will your company’s business be affected if a solution is not delivered?)
Have to retranslate (and in the sequence
recompile) programs on both platforms
