The ability via JCL to
define multiple VSAM files with the same characteristic's to 1 ACB name. In
order to for my company to Consolidate hospital information, we need to code
programs for the number of files, or worse merge them to another file. These
methods are time consuming. This
function does exist in OS/390 and I think would be beneficial to all.

Our business is Hospital Management and we buy
hospitals. Each time we buy a hospital we have program changes to make.
Reduction in programming, manpower can be significant.
