Business
Justification: (Why? Non-technical
business case description. Do not reword Detailed Problem
Description from above. What are the benefits to be gained by your
company, and the vendor and others?
Quantify: run time, dollars, manpower, etc. Why should the vendor do this for the customer?)
The output from most of the SHOW LOCK console
commands wraps, requiring twice as many lines to display as actually necessary.
The output would be much more readable if the lines did not wrap.
Solution: (Optional)(Desired/undesired elements Note: Making a suggestion may limit a
vendors ability to deliver a solution)
By shortening the display by a few characters,
you could easily fix the output, preventing the unnecessary line-wrapping.
Impact: (Optional) (How
will your company’s business be affected if a solution is not delivered?)
Will help DBAs do their job better. Requires
less traffic to the console. Takes up less space in the hardcopy file.
