Date: 11/26/2002                                          Requirement #:  WAVV200301

Product Name:           TCPIP       Product Release# (or state “current”):current

Vendor Name:           CSI

Title: (Paraphrase problem in a single statement)Notification when email recipient receives or reads the message.

Detailed Problem Description: (Description of what you want changed - 400 character entry limit)

We use direct email to our vendors which replaces the traditional purchase order document (PO) sent via US mail. Our buyers would like to know if the document did in fact make it and if so, when was it opened. In our case, we would want both notifications to go to the 'reply to' address that was set for a given buyer.  Q for CSI. If implemented, would this require the CSI SMTP server?

Priority: (Select one: Urgent - High - Medium - Low) medium

Requested Completion Date: (When? Examples: 3 months, 1 year, Next Release) Soon

Requirement Type: (Select one: Acceptability - Compatibility/Migration - Ease of Use - Feature/Function - Performance - Reliability/Availability/Serviceability - Packaging - Interoperability)

Feature/Function

Business Justification: (Why? Non-technical business case description. Do not reword Detailed Problem Description from above. What are the benefits to be gained by your company, and the vendor and others?  Quantify: run time, dollars, manpower, etc.   Why should the vendor do this for the customer?)

This is an easy EDI alternative and just makes 'good business sense'.

Solution: (Optional)(Desired/undesired elements Note: Making a suggestion may limit a vendors ability to deliver a solution)

Impact: (Optional) (How will your company’s business be affected if a solution is not delivered?)

Some late delivery of material that affects assembly line production if a PO was not received and this was not noticed in time.
