Quantify: run time, dollars, manpower, etc. Why should the vendor do
this for the customer?)
Since output tapes do not have compressed data
we have to mount more tapes than would be necessary if the data was compressed
with the IDRC feature. We run this
product unattended and soon we will not be able to mount enough tapes at one
time to run the complete backup. A
computer operator will have to stay on duty to mount tapes and this will cost
us overtime pay. If IDRC was supported
we would use half as many tapes.
