Title: (Paraphrase problem in a
single statement)Display where programs
fetched from '// EXEC' on SYSLST
Detailed
Problem Description: (Description of what you want changed - 400 character entry limit)
To have job control display
on the SYSLST output line along with the echoing of the SYSIPT data line
consisting of the '// EXEC…' card, the LIBR Library from which the executable
module was fetched. This would simplify
greatly the solution of problems that arise when programmers start cataloging
phases all over creation and can't understand why they don’t see their changes
in effect…

Justification: (Why? Non-technical
business case description. Do not reword Detailed Problem
Description from above. What are the benefits to be gained by your
company, and the vendor and others?
Quantify: run time, dollars, manpower, etc. Why should the vendor do this for the customer?)
Other than sticking LIBLISTs in the JCL and
re-running it, what other way is there to determine the answer to such questions? This would be much more
straightforward. And, while you're
fetching the phase, you know where you got it…how hard can it be to do a MVC to
CC81+ of the IOAREA for SYSLST?
Solution: (Optional)(Desired/undesired elements Note: Making a suggestion may limit a
vendors ability to deliver a solution)
Impact: (Optional) (How
will your company’s business be affected if a solution is not delivered?)
