Title: (Paraphrase problem in a
single statement)PSF does not easily allow
for testing PAGEDEF and FORMDEF
Detailed
Problem Description: (Description of what you want changed - 400 character entry limit)
PSF can be forced to reload
AFP resources each time they are used with the SET PAGEDEF=0 SET FORMDEF=0 commands. The problem is that these can only be issued
for started printers. We need a way to tell
PSF to use these parms for specific PRINTDEV's (test printers) whenever they
are started.

Business
Justification: (Why? Non-technical
business case description. Do not reword Detailed Problem
Description from above. What are the benefits to be gained by your
company, and the vendor and others?
Quantify: run time, dollars, manpower, etc. Why should the vendor do this for the customer?)
In a
development environment, it is desirable to have PSF reload resources each
time they are
used so any changes made in testing are picked up. Additional work
is required
with the current method of forcing the
PAGEDEF=0 and FORDEF=0 to be specified manually after a printer is
started. If these commands are not
issued,
time can be
wasted in debugging why your changes didn’t take.
Solution: (Optional)(Desired/undesired elements Note: Making a suggestion may limit a
vendors ability to deliver a solution)
Impact: (Optional) (How
will your company’s business be affected if a solution is not delivered?)
